Galway and Mayo will face off in the All-Ireland minor football final at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon on Friday, 7 July (Throw-in, 7.15pm).
Three of our juvenile players will play in an All Ireland final. It was a long road with a lot of footballs kicked to get to this stage.
Charlie Cox
A dynamic, scoring forward. A great inside player with power & pace – Charlie is a great lad to score off both feet and loves to rattle the net. An accomplished soccer player, one of those lads who can turn his hand to any sport.
Seán O’Connor
Primarily a defender but Seán can also be used in midfield. Very strong player who is a tight marker with a great left foot. Sean also plays hurling & soccer and is one of the most popular coaches during the Cúl Camp week.
Padraic McNeela
A very skilful wing back/forward, has great pace and vision and is a clever operator on the field. Padraic is also an accomplished golfer. Galway lad from Mayo stock – his parents will be proudly wearing the maroon on Friday night!
Best of luck to Sean, Charlie & Padraic.
If necessary, extra time and penalties will be used to determine the winner.
