Referee Recruitment 2021
Anybody interested in becoming a Football, Hurling or Dual Referee is invited to contact a Referee Committee member, named below, to participate in the 2021 Referee Foundation Level Course.
In order to become a GAA Referee the following must apply :
The candidate must be a member of a GAA Club.
Garda Vetting for Gaelic Games purposes must be attained – this is done on line by each individual and lasts for 5 years. If this is already attained and in date, this will suffice. Vetting for GAA, Hurling, Football, Camogie, Ladies Football, Handball or Rounders is acceptable.
Foundation Level course is usually in 4 parts : 3 nights of theory and a physical fitness assessment (not a test !). The course caters for those who wish to referee Football only, Hurling only or Dual Refereeing.
