Last Friday, September 20th, the Oughterard Golf Club was abuzz with excitement as over 50 teams teed off for the Maigh Cuilinn Golf Classic Fundraiser. The event, blessed with glorious sunshine, proved to be a fantastic day out for all involved, raising vital funds for the club.
Participants enjoyed a challenging yet fun-filled round of golf. The format was a scramble, allowing players of all abilities to contribute. The unique rules added an extra layer of strategy and camaraderie to the game.
The competition was fierce but friendly, with teams vying for a range of fantastic prizes. The longest drive and nearest-to-the-pin challenges on designated holes added an extra element of excitement to the day.
The day culminated in a prize-giving ceremony in the Oughterard Club House.
